������Ƶ celebrates 10 years of earning the "College of Distinction" honor for demonstrating hands-on learning, strong student-teacher relationships, a vibrant campus life, and successful outcomes.

Both the President's & Dean's Lists were announced on Friday, June 7, 2024. A total of 736 students were named; 232 to the President's List and 504 to the Dean's List.

Kelsey Crittendon, senior ������Ƶ nursing BSN student, received a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students on April 22, 2024. The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students recognizes and celebrates nursing students for the above-and-beyond care and compassion shown to patients and their families.

������Ƶ presents the Dr. John Powers Outstanding Educator Award to a deserving elementary or secondary teacher or administrator each spring. This year, the university presented the award to three outstanding Cambria Heights educators during the ������Ƶ President's Awards Convocation on April 30, 2024.

“SFU in the Stratosphere” student members and Dr. Lanika Ruzhitskaya represented SFU at the 243rd American Astronomical Society meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana from January 7-11, 2024

������Ƶ has been ranked No. 138 among the 2024 Best Online Bachelor’s Programs by U.S. News & World Report. This ranking marks a 107-slot improvement over the University’s 2023 ranking of 245. A total of 348 Universities were evaluated as part of the ranking process. SFU ranks #5 in Pennsylvania.

Both the President's & Dean's Lists were announced on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. A total of 801 students were named; 222 to the President's List and 579 to the Dean's List.

In 2022 SFU launched its Second Degree/Accelerated BSN to meet the demand of non-nurse college graduates who wanted to move towards a profession in nursing. Congratulations to the first class of graduates!

The U.S. National Science Foundation announced a $399,727 award to ������Ƶ as part of its first-ever Enabling Partnerships to Increase Innovation Capacity (EPIIC) grant program. The agency is investing $19.6 million to help nearly 50 emerging research institutions grow their capacity to participate in and drive regional innovation.
