The SWITCHED Adapted Toys initiative at SFU brings MOT and Education students together to adapt toys with accessible switches, creating inclusive play opportunities for children with disabilities while giving students valuable hands-on, interdisciplinary experience.

Baby Day 2025 united OT, Education, and Nursing students for a hands-on developmental lab with young children. The event strengthened practical skills through authentic observation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Acknowledged as a College of Distinction, and Catholic College of Distinction for 2025-26, SFU has also received specialized recognition in Business, Education, Engineering, and Nursing.

ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ presents the Dr. John Powers Outstanding Educator Award to a deserving elementary or secondary teacher or administrator each spring. This year, the university presented the award to six stand-out educators during the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ President's Awards Convocation on April 29, 2025.

Profile of Honors Student Isabella Swindell: Isabella wants to become a teacher, specializing in early childhood and special education. She credits the honors program for giving her the confidence to realize this dream.

The record-breaking 2024 Baby Day brought together occupational therapy and education students for an enriching, interdisciplinary learning experience focused on early childhood development. Through hands-on interaction with 26 young participants, students gained invaluable insights into developmental milestones and the power of play, while parents and faculty praised the event’s meaningful impact.

ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ celebrates 10 years of earning the "College of Distinction" honor for demonstrating hands-on learning, strong student-teacher relationships, a vibrant campus life, and successful outcomes.
