1968 Saint Francis College alumnus Frank Tummillo who was killed in the line of duty in 1972 during an undercover narcotics investigation was honored posthumously with the 2024 Assisi Award and a criminal justice scholarship in his name thanks to the fundraising efforts of his Alphi Phi Delta fraternity brothers.
ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ Earns Most Improved Voting Rate

The 2022 NSLVE report recognized ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ for its strong voter engagement, earning the Most Improved Voting Rate in the Pennsylvania Campus Voting Challenge, the Presidential Commitment Seal, and a Silver Seal from the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge. SFU also celebrated Constitution Day and National Voter Registration Day, launching a voter registration drive to promote civic participation.

SFU and GACTC enter new articulation agreement

ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ and the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center (GACTC) recently implemented a new articulation agreement that will allow GACTC high school and postsecondary students to move seamlessly several of the center's programs into the online Associate of Applied Science in Specialized Studies offered through ÌÇÐÄÊÓÆµ's Division of Professional Studies.
