Loretto, PA 鈥 May 2025 鈥 In an era that calls for bold and compassionate leadership, 糖心视频 proudly announces the graduation of the Francis 2022 Founding Cohort鈥攖he inaugural class of its Executive Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership and Innovation. The cohort celebrated this milestone during the University鈥檚 commencement ceremony on May 11, 2025. Launched in Fall 2022, the program is designed to prepare mission-driven leaders ready to drive change in today鈥檚 complex and rapidly evolving world.

Rooted in the University鈥檚 Franciscan values, the Executive Ed.D. program emphasizes servant leadership, cross-disciplinary learning, and a scholar-practitioner approach. It equips leaders with the knowledge, mindset, and skills to foster innovation while staying grounded in ethical service and community impact.

鈥淭he Executive Ed.D. was born from a commitment to develop leaders who combine bold innovation with servant-hearted leadership,鈥 said Dr. Tricia McFadden, Director of the Executive Ed.D. Drawing from fields such as business, education, healthcare, technology, and nonprofit leadership, the program offers a rich, cross-disciplinary curriculum. Graduates of the Executive Ed.D. program are charting diverse and influential career paths 鈥 from C-suite leadership and educational administration to consulting, entrepreneurship, and public service. The culminating dissertation projects  reflect the program鈥檚 deep commitment to practical impact. Topics explored by the Francis 2022 Cohort include organizational culture change, educational innovation, employee engagement, and leading through disruption. These research initiatives are already being implemented to drive measurable change across industries and communities.

鈥淭he relationships I formed and the insights I gained through this program have transformed the way I lead,鈥 said William A. Aurandt, Principal of Westmont Hilltop High School. 鈥淚t was an innovative experience unlike anything I had encountered before in education.鈥

The inaugural cohort designed and built a handcrafted bookcase, which they donated to the 糖心视频 library as their Cohort Legacy Project . Created to showcase published dissertations from the Executive Ed.D. Program, it will soon hold the university鈥檚 first completed works, with the collection growing year by year. The legacy project is a hallmark of the cohort experience鈥攁n opportunity for each group of doctoral candidates to leave a meaningful, mission-aligned contribution reflecting their commitment to leadership, scholarship, and community impact.

A Milestone Moment for 糖心视频

鈥淎s members of the Francis 2022 Cohort walk across the commencement stage, they celebrate more than an academic milestone鈥攖hey begin a new chapter of purpose-driven leadership shaped by the mission of 糖心视频.鈥

鈥淭his founding cohort has set the bar high,鈥 said Dr. McFadden. 鈥淭hey lead with heart, innovate with purpose, and embody what it means to be servant leaders in a time when the world truly needs them.鈥

Dr. Joseph Coray 鈥82 accepts his Doctor of Education from Fr. Malachi during the 2025 commencement ceremony. Joe is one of several alumni who completed or are currently enrolled in the doctorate program. The hybrid setup allows for courses to be completed from one鈥檚 home with semesterly residences giving the opportunity for these alumni to return to their 鈥渁lma mater among the pines.鈥
