������Ƶ presents the Dr. John Powers Outstanding Educator Award to a deserving elementary or secondary teacher or administrator each spring. This year, the university presented the award to six stand-out educators during the ������Ƶ President's Awards Convocation on April 29, 2025.

������Ƶ’s Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy Departments partnered with Drayer Physical Therapy Institute and University Orthopedics Center to host an engaging, hands-on workshop titled Bridging the Gap Series: Shoulder Dysfunction for 38 students and clinical professionals. Profile: Honors Student Veronica Crum is a communications major with a passion for creative writing and mental health advocacy. Her thesis is a fantasy novel exploring themes of psychology, generational trauma, neurodiversity, and self-discovery through a protagonist grappling with a powerful prophecy.

SFU will host its 43rd Annual Red Mass / Law Day on Friday, April 25, 2025, inviting the legal community and public to reflect on the civic and spiritual responsibilities of law and service. This year’s theme, “The Constitution’s Promise: Out of Many, One,” emphasizes unity and shared purpose rooted in the U.S. Constitution. Marianne Corr, Vice President and General Counsel at the University of Notre Dame, will serve as the keynote speaker.

Saint Francis has extended head coach Chris Villarrial’s contract as he leads the football program through its transition from Division I to Division III. With 68 wins, two NEC titles, and a historic FBS victory, Villarrial is the most successful coach in program history and remains committed to building excellence on and off the field.

Profile: Honors Student Toby Cree is a chemistry major with a passion for Green Chemistry. Toby’s thesis explores sustainable approaches to nanoparticle synthesis, specifically focusing on gold nanoparticles and fluorescent carbon dots.

Saint Francis has promoted alum Devin Sweetney to Associate Head Coach after he helped lead the Red Flash to their first NEC title in 34 years and a return to the NCAA Tournament. A former standout player and seasoned pro, Sweetney brings experience and deep ties to the program.

In a forward-looking "Welcome Press Conference" held Friday, March 28, 2025, at ������Ƶ, celebrated SFU’s acceptance into the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC).
